Workshop Description
Caper heists and longform improvisation share three commonalities to follow the fun:
characters with unwavering points of views working together;
specificity in verbal and physical details; and
overcoming unpredictable story elements
In our 10 hours together, we'll develop crime characters that show off our favourite heist-related skills. We'll brainstorm and execute creative problem-solving plans.
Complications, consequences, chase scenes? We'll play those too!
There's something for everybody - lovers of the genre and those ready for it to steal their hearts!

Workshop Description
We are onstage to "play" with our partners in every sense of the term. This workshop develops the notion of a playful relationship between actors. We will try and tease our partner by getting them in trouble and trying to destabilize them. The goal being to generate accidents and surprises that can be transformed into unexpected gifts for our creativity. All strategies are welcome when it comes to playing with mischief: say "no", ignore your partner, play in a bizarre manner… This workshop will show how your worst impro nightmares can actually be sources of inspiration that can refresh your performance.

Workshop Description
This workshop answers the simple question "How do you direct an impro scene?" Its goal is to allow the directors to liberate themselves from the pressure of directing and enable them to facilitate the actor's improvisation in a creative way. A good director can efficiently "press the right buttons" to allow the actors to get the full potential out of the great ideas that are already present in their scene. It’s a fantastic way of creating shows with directed scenes as well as being a powerful tool for teachers in a workshop context.

Workshop Description
Step into the role of theatrical architects as you and your fellow improvisers collaboratively invent rich, playable worlds from the ground up. History is known, all dialogue is improvised. Explore how to generate original settings that naturally produce character, relationship, and story, giving you a powerful foundation for long-form and devised improvisation.
Together, you will:
Discover practical ways to choose and define a world worth exploring
Refine and practice pitching your concept
Populate it with characters you’ll be excited to return to and perform
Devise the relationships, histories, and tensions that bring the world to life
Play inside the world to experience how it organically fuels scenes and narrative
You’ll leave with concrete tools you can use in rehearsals, classrooms, and shows. Plus a shared world-building experience that demonstrates how quickly an ensemble can create a vivid theatrical universe.

Workshop Description
Our body is the only thing we always have with us. We fill it with ideas and inspiration, and then send it out, onto the stage to improvise. We open our mouths and create dialogues, monologues, filled with deep thoughts, songs and funny wordplay. But what happens if you leave out the language, stop the speech, and trust only your body?
This workshop is all about telling stories with your body:
Hold a physical monologue! Join your partner in a body dialogue! Using mime, the work of Laban and clowning, we'll experiment with how we can use our physical selves to discover and express pictures, emotions, and stories, all without using words!

Workshop Description
Improvisation is built on choices, quick, instinctive, playful choices. But sometimes, without noticing, we fall into familiar patterns: gender shortcuts, cultural clichés, predictable characters.This workshop invites performers to shift their perspective, challenge automatic habits, and open new creative paths.
In this workshop, participants will:
Identify common gender clichés that appear in improvisation;
Practice swapping, twisting, or subverting stereotypical roles;
Build characters from physicality, intention, or emotion rather than clichés;
Learn to support partners in creating inclusive and varied scenic dynamics;
Explore improv tools that foster nuance, agency, and diversity on stage.
The goal is not to restrict creativity but to unlock greater creative range, pushing beyond the predictable to discover characters and stories that feel fresh, honest, and exciting.
