At Home
Owen Scrivens and Jodyanne Fletcher Richardson love to improvise characters. In this intimate two-hander, they explore the everyday lives of two larger-than-life personalities.
Inspired by 20th-century theatre and classic single-room sitcoms, At Home combines humour and heart with a touch of absurdity. Think the worlds of Willy Russell, John Osborne and Alan Bennett, infused with echoes of Beckett and Pinter – all created completely in the moment.
Presented by:
Owen Scrivens & Jodyanne Fletcher Richardson
Troupe bio:
Between them Jodyanne and Owen have a wealth of improvisation knowledge, having both taught, learned from, and performed with global improvisers of all styles. They first worked together at the Edinburgh Festival with Playing Dead Theatre‘s Living, Dying Dead where they discovered a shared passion for exploring the humour and love to be found in the darker human interactions that traditional comedy improv usually shies away from.
Owen Co-created At Home, which will be performed at Improvizza, specifically as a show that allows a duo to find a common energy together whilst Jodyanne has experience of developing a tightly knit two-prov through her work with Monica Gaga on Derek’s MoJo (as seen at Improvizza! 2024).
Together they look forward to sharing their knowledge of creating dynamic two person scenes with the Malta community.
